The Fortune Compass is designed to locate and engage the Law of Attraction according to the maker to allow a person to arrange things to get the most Qi. The thing claims to be able to locate the vibration frequencies in the environment.

Pioneer drops 5 New GPS navigation systems

Pioneer intros not one, not two, but four new GPS navigation devices at once. Collectively they are the HRZ099, HRZ088, HRV022, and HRV011. They all share the same specifications including a 40GB storage capacity, 1Seg TV, 7-Inch LCD Screen and they can play WMA, MP3, AAC, and DivX file formats. As you might expect, hey are also compatible with iPods.

The Pioneer HRZ099 is the High-End model of the litter, equipped with a 800 x 480 resolution. The others are 480×234. The Pioneer HRZ099 and HRZ088 also feature a built-in Amplifier with a maximum output of 50W x 4ch. Aside from these 7-Inch GPS devices, the company also introduced a 5.8-Inch GPS which sports 8GB of Flash Memory, a built-in amplifier (50w x4), 1Seg TV tuner, an SD card slot and USB Port. It can also reproduce DVD/WMA/MP3/DivX/WAV/MPEG-4 files.

GPS navigation system & game console

Kinwei Technologies of Shenzen is a GPS navigation system manufacturer who also loves games. Old school games. The KW-GM4306TG is a GPS navigation system and a gaming console in one. And no, this won’t replace your DS or PSP. Apparently the device only supports 8 bits games, circa 1985.

It sports a 4.3-inch TFT LCD Touch screen with 480 x 272 pixels resolution, powered by a Samsung ARM9 400MHz processor. The OS is Microsoft Windows CE.NET 4.2 and you even get a crappy controller for the games. Inside there’s a 64MB SDRAM ROM and 256MB NAND flash, and a high sensitive SiRF III antenna with 20 channels. It also has an AV-in port so if you get a rear view camera you can connect it to use the 4.3″ screen.

Garmin Edge 705 Team Edition cycling computer available

I used to ride a bike frequently, when I was like 12 and couldn’t drive. Since then I try and not get out in the Texas heat on a bicycle with moronic rednecks flying by seeing how close to you they can get with their giant cow trailer pulling mirrors. I do know several people who like cycling though.

For those of you who are really into cycling Garmin has announced that its Team Garmin Edition Edge 705 is now available. The cycling computer comes in orange representing the uniform color of the Garmin-Chipotle cycling team.

Clarion MiND: a new reason to crash your car

Clarion unveiled at CES this week a new mobile Internet device based upon the Intel Menlow platform, which is comprised of the Silverthorne processor and the Poulbo chipset. It is called MiND (Mobile Internet Navigation Device) and its currently in development.

The Clairon MiND is best described as an extremely portable device. The feature list is quite long - its maker describes it best by stating the MiND will “provide users access to navigation, high-speed Internet connection, digital music and videos, hands-free phone connection (via Bluetooth), built-in camera and many other innovative entertainment features.” It is an in-car device designed to make you crash easier…er, we mean keep you entertained either in-auto or out.

Sony adds new GPS models to nav-u line

Sony took the wraps today off an expanded line up of its nav-u personal navigation devices. These new models – the NV-U94T, NV-U84, NV-U74T and NV-U44 – price around $400, $350, $300 and $250 respectively and will be available in September.

Sony says new features of these four just added nav-u GPS units include more brand icons, search functionality and photo viewing features. The top dog of this group is the NV-U94T, adding “a photo viewer, audio/video player and stereo Bluetooth technology for streaming audio and making hands-free phone calls using compatible devices.” You can get full details on these models after the jump.

Garmin develops custom GPS unit for Harley-Davidson

Born to Be Wild song tunes running around inside your head aside, do you want some type of genuine motor accessory from Harley-Davidson to customize your ride a little more? How about a special version of a GPS unit from Garmin. That’s the idea for the new Garmin Road Tech zūmo, which currently has no pricing information.

The Garmin Road Tech zūmo is a customized version of the GPS company’s motorcycle specific GPS device. It has, among its more customized features, a points of interest directory including Harley-Davidson dealerships, a custom handbar mount and the ability to download to the GPS unit “great rides” from the Harley-Davidson Web site.

Archos selling GPS accessory for 605 WiFi PMP

Archos recently unveiled a special in-car holder for its Archos 605 WiFi portable media player line. This accessory is called the Archos GPS In-Car Holder and you’ll find it pricing around $130.

The Archos GPS In-Car Holder has the actual GPS functionality built into it, using the 605 WiFi as an interface for viewing maps and navigation functions. The holder connects to the car windshield and the PMP is put into the holder. Built-in line out lets you create a “full voice and video navigation system.”

Garmin announces new GPS dog collar to track your hounds

For you hunters out there needing to track Fido in the field to make sure he isn’t eating your dead duck, Garmin has a new GPS collar to add to its Astro GPS Dog tracking system. It is called the Garmin DC 30, and you’ll find it pricing standalone around $200 or as part of a complete kit with GPS receiver at around $650.

The Garmin DC 30 is mainly designed for hunting dogs, but you could probably tag this bad boy on your pooch to track him around the dog park as well. It is “weighted to sit below the dog’s neck, while a small, low-profile GPS antenna is integrated into the collar strap and positioned on top of the dog’s neck, providing a clear view of satellites with minimal rotation.”

Knight Rider GPS puts KITT in your car

You and I both know that this is the only GPS worth a tinker’s damn. Do you really have to think about it? Mio’s new GPS system gives you directions using the voice of KITT. It promises lots of fun episodes in Vegas and a show-down with Semi-truck enemy or two. It boots up saying “Hello Michael, where do you want to go today?”

That’s enough for some of you right there, but then it goes and uses a Trans-Am as your cars icon, also features dual LED scanner lights on each side to complete the whole KITT theme. $270 is what it will cost you. And you didn’t have to have surgery or change your identity at all. Available in a few months.

Transplant GPS debuts RightWay GPS products

GPS product manufacturer Transplant GPS announced this week three new GPS units under its RightWay brand. These new models are the RW430, RW355 and RW250.

Transplant GPS said its new RightWay models feature “trilingual street name ‘text-to-speech’ capabilities, preloaded Navteq map data for North America, SiRF Star III high sensitivity GPS chip set, Samsung processors, Windows CE 5.0 operating system, and four bonus programs.”

Rear view GPS mirror

Shenzhen MCD Electronics has rolled out this so far unnamed rear view mirror that shows you more then the cars you’re leaving in the dust. Some features include : GPS navigation system, SD/MMC memory card slot, Stylus pen, LED backlight, 1300mAh Li-Ion battery, Reverse gear sensor, Camera, Bluetooth connectivity.

No word on cost yet, and anyway coming from a Chinese wholesaler, this probably won’t be headed to the US anytime soon officially.

Kapten: Screen-free GPS navigation system

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A GPS device without a screen from French company Kapsys. It seems at first like a horrible idea, but speech can be just as powerful. It’s a one-of-a-kind mini portable GPS device with a voice recognition interface.

It’s designed mainly for pedestrians who need directions, and also includes a text-to-speech feature. It might also help you keep your eyes on the road. TeleAtlas will offer the map information, while Kapsys provides still more city-related information on their website. Features a SiRF Star III GPS receiver, Bluetooth, MP3 player, FM Radio and hands-free capability. As far as storage it has 4GB of internal memory. Expect it around mid-September for 150 Euros.
